The term “Miracle March” was first coined in Tahoe in 1991. That month saw 50 inches of snowfall to increase the Tahoe snowpack from 17% of the average to 73% in just 29 days. Our Miracle March sequel in March of 2018 saw Lake Tahoe snowpack increase from 32% of normal to 77% with a total of 12 feet of snow. Could this March mark another Miracle in Tahoe?
