Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS)
Aquatic invasive species (AIS) are impacting water quality around the shoreline of Lake Tahoe. Through a well-coordinated program, more than a dozen public agencies are working hard to prevent the introduction of new species and to control the current populations.
The Tahoe Fund is proud to collaborate on these important efforts. In the past, we have helped fund watercraft inspection stations, the expanded use of bottom barriers, and the innovative use of UV light to control weeds.
We are focused on finding new solutions and supporting ones we know work. We invite you to join our efforts.
