Director Brad Crowell was appointed as the Director of the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources by Governor Brian Sandoval in December 2016. As Director, he is responsible for overseeing the protection of Nevada’s natural and historic resources. In partnership with the Governor’s Energy Office, Director Crowell was responsible for the development of Nevada’s State Climate Strategy. A native of Carson City, Nevada, Crowell has nearly 20 years of experience in energy and environmental policy at the state and federal level.
Secretary Wade Crowfoot was appointed California’s Natural Resources Secretary by Governor Gavin Newsom in January 2019. He oversees an agency of 19,000 employees who protect and manage California’s natural resources. This includes the state’s forests and natural lands, rivers and waterways, coast and ocean, fish and wildlife, and energy development. As a member of the Governor’s cabinet, he advises on natural resources and environmental issues.
