Homewood On-Water Electric Boat Charging Station

In an effort to spur innovation and increase lake clarity, Tahoe Fund partnered with
Homewood High and Dry Marina to bring the first on-water electric boat charger to the
lake.

The 25kW Delta charger, located directly on the water at the Homewood Marina, is capable
of fully re-charging an electric motorsports boat in less than five hours. Currently
Homewood is operating one on-water charger with plans to expand the charging
infrastructure. During the summer of 2020, the Marina was able to determine that an
estimated 350 gallons of fuel was saved through the use of electric boats.
With an eye towards the future, Tahoe Fund sees many more opportunities to bring
environmentally friendly innovation to our lake.
