Lake Tahoe Wildlife Brochure

Total Cost: $8,000 | Unfunded Need: $6,500

Project Description

The Lake Tahoe Basin covers a vast wilderness area. Hundreds of thousands of visitors visit Lake Tahoe throughout the year to take in the beautiful scenic view points and diverse wildlife. The Tahoe Basin has some of the best wildlife species diversity in the country.

Project Opportunities

Nationally, the US Fish and Wildlife Service estimates that over $40 billion is spent annually on wildlife viewing.  The Lake Tahoe Wildlife brochure will provide wildlife enthusiasts and recreational users with a free guide about the wildlife that occupies the Tahoe region including reference points to where they may be able to view various species throughout the year within Tahoe’s extensive trail system. The brochure will provide an enhanced recreational experience with the goals of increasing visitor frequency and stimulating the region’s economy.
