Our Governance

The Tahoe Fund is governed as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation by a committed volunteer Board of Directors.  The 21-member Board of Directors is comprised of members from both Nevada and California. Board Members represent Lake Tahoe business, environmental, and recreational communities and government agencies. The Tahoe Fund Board works diligently to carry out the mission of the organization.

The Board of Directors delegates responsibility for day-to-day operations of the organization to the Tahoe Fund staff. Both the Tahoe Fund Board of Directors and staff are dedicated to educating the general public on the environmental issues facing restoration efforts at Lake Tahoe and to raising funds to support EIP (Environmental Improvement Program) projects that restore and enhance the natural environment.

The Tahoe Fund is proud to be a Grantee of the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation. Parasol provides office and meeting space for the Tahoe Fund.
