2022 Lake Tahoe Summit

Join us on Tuesday, August 16th at Sand Harbor Nevada State Park for the 26th annual Lake Tahoe Summit. This annual summit is a chance for us to come together to discuss ways to improve the environment of the Tahoe Basin.

White House National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy will give the keynote address. McCarthy, who is tasked with coordinating the Biden administration’s domestic climate agenda, previously served as President and CEO of the Natural Resources Defense Council and Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the Obama Administration.

This year’s summit theme is “Protecting Lake Tahoe’s Future,” and it will be a chance to reflect on the progress made to restore the Tahoe Basin over the last two decades, discuss current challenges that the surrounding communities face, and find ways to preserve and protect Lake Tahoe in the years to come.

We hope you are able to attend the 2022 Lake Tahoe Summit. Together, we can preserve and protect Lake Tahoe for generations to come.

Registration opens at 9am and the program begins at 10am.

There will not be any on-site parking, so we encourage you to use our complimentary shuttle service to get to and from the summit from Diamond Peak Ski Resort. There will also be a bicycle valet service courtesy of the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition for those wishing to come via the Tahoe East Shore Trail.

The event will also be live-streamed on Vimeo for those who are not able to attend in person. If you have any questions or need special accommodations, please do not hesitate to contact Senator Rosen’s office at 202-224-6244.
