JOB OPENING: Part-Time Administrative Assistant (10-20 hours/week)
The Tahoe Fund was founded in 2010 to restore and enhance the Lake Tahoe environment by building broad support and funding for critical environmental improvement projects that restore lake clarity, improve recreation and inspire stewardship in the Basin. Founded by leaders representing many diverse interests in the region, the Fund is the first and only nonprofit dedicated to raising private dollars for environmental improvement projects.
Tahoe Fund donors have provided support to the Blackwood Creek/Eagle Rock Trail watershed restoration on the west shore; the Incline/3rd Creek watershed restoration on the north shore; segments of the Lake Tahoe Bikeway in Incline Village, Tahoe City, the west shore and South Lake Tahoe; environmental and recreational improvements at Sand Harbor State Park, Van-Sickle Bi-State Park and Washoe Meadows State Park; Asian Clam removal at Emerald Bay; aquatic invasive weed removal in Tahoe City and at Ski Run Marina; a Tahoe Beaches App; and the UC Davis “State of the Lake” report.
The Administrative Assistant role will support the everyday functions of the organization, assisting the CEO and Coordinator positions with maintaining the office space and general organization of the Tahoe Fund. The Administrative Assistant will require interaction with Tahoe Fund staff, donors, volunteers and members of the board of directors. This position is hourly, varying from 10-20 hours a week, depending on the volume of work. The Administrative Assistant should be highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Administrative Assistant will primarily work out of the Tahoe Fund office space in the Donald W. Reynolds Center in Incline Village, NV, but may require travel around the Tahoe Basin.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Maintain an organized filing system
Record meeting minutes at all board and executive committee meetings
Answer phone calls
Coordinate office maintenance with Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation staff and Wired Solutions
Miscellaneous tasks to be defined by the CEO and Coordinator
Assist in the maintenance of the database
